Taylor Wald is a Minneapolis-based rising artist, writer, and curator from Saint Cloud, Minnesota, whose work investigates the life, labor, and sacrifices involved in generational patterns of behavior. Wald will graduate with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Museum and Curatorial Studies, Summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 2026. She has been featured in exhibitions including those at Rosalux Gallery, Schmidt Landmark Gallery, Vera W. Russell Gallery, Quarter Gallery, and Fresh Eye Gallery, and has done curatorial work at the Weisman Art Museum and the Quarter Gallery. She was a 2023 Matchmaking Artist at Art In Motion and holds a People's Choice Award from the Paramount Center for the Arts. Wald is grateful to have received funding from organizations such as Art In Motion, the University of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Art Department, and the Central Minnesota Arts Board.

She is looking forward to her inaugural solo exhibition, inside voices, which opens March 20th, 2026, at Schmidt Landmark Gallery. Wald makes art to consider the things we struggle to control and comprehend, finding healing in translating complex emotional remnants into multidimensional, connected scenes.
